It is with great pride that we announce that the Alpha Rho Alumni Chapter has been recognized nationally in two prestigious ways.
We were named 2019 Pi Kappa Phi Master Champion Alumni Chapter award winner. There are 5 areas Alumni Chapters are measured to evaluate the health of any Chapter. We exceeded expectations and excelled in each of the 5 areas of operations. What makes this extra special is that this is the first time any Alumni Chapter has qualified for this recognition in the history of our Fraternity.
Also, in combination with this distinction as a Master Champion Alumni Chapter, we are pleased to announce that we were also named the 2019 Pi Kappa Phi Alumni Chapter of the Year. This marks the second time Alpha Rho has earned this honor and we’re humbled by this recognition.
Here is some reaction we received in the past few days:
“It’s an obvious and clear decision that the Alpha Rho Alumni Chapter has been recognized for their excellence. In the last decade, I’ve been blessed to work with various groups of alumni at various institutions of higher learning. Alpha Rho, however, is the exemplar. The men are dedicated to the principle of “lifelong” membership and exemplify the values of Pi Kappa Phi in their adult lives. I value them as allies to my office and look forward to working with them as colleagues in the future.” – Dr. Matthew Richardson, Director WVU Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
“The Alpha Rho Alumni Chapter has demonstrated their commitment to lifelong brotherhood in Pi Kappa Phi. The alumni continue to set a positive example for the undergraduate members in so many areas including; chapter operations, academic success and career mentorship. Congratulations to the Alpha Rho Alumni Chapter in receiving the Alumni Chapter of the Year and for being the inaugural recipient of the Master Champion Alumni Chapter award.” – Jeremy Galvin- Pi Kappa Phi National Council President
“We’re thrilled to have Alpha Rho Alumni Chapter lead the way as our very first Master Champion Alumni Chapter. Their organization and commitment is truly second to none.” – Denise Nelson- Pi Kappa Phi Assistant Executive Director of Alumni Engagement
We don’t do what we do to win awards. Our mission is to provide our members with meaningful opportunities to fulfill their lifetime commitment to Pi Kappa Phi. For the past several years, we have done our best to do just that. This recognition is a nice validation for all of the hard work our Board of Directors and volunteers do and what our contributors have given to make what we do possible.
We hope that this recognition will provide you with the motivation to join us in Morgantown for an event. We also hope that you’ll continue to support our efforts by contributing to us financially. We are completely self funded and rely on the generosity of our members to do everything we do.
It is our hope that this gives you a sense of pride knowing that we’re all part of something very special.
In Brotherhood,
